In 2012, to better serve the growing need for healthcare in the region, Parkview Health opened a $500+ million, 300+ bed medical center spanning one-million square feet in Fort Wayne. Patients of this newly built hospital have been provided with essential medical services, including a Level II trauma center, as well as specialized centers for stroke, orthopedics, pain management, cancer and cardiovascular care, women's and children's health, and more. The hospital sees an estimated 30,000 people every year.
