Reduce energy costs using renewable on-site generation

Remote locations face unique challenges when it comes to energy reliability and the cost of power. That was certainly the case at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Juan, located on the island of Puerto Rico. Thanks to a renewable energy services agreement (RESA), which is a financing approach based on third-party ownership of the renewable energy assets, they were able overcome those challenges with the use of distributed energy resources (DER).
