This session we will cover why ground fault protection using 3-pole Main and Tie circuit breakers with LSIG ground fault trip units can experience mis-operation on multiple-source, solidly-grounded, 3-phase, 4-wire, low-voltage electrical power distribution systems with multiple system neutral grounds.
You will also learn why loads that require a 4-wire distribution system, and where 3-pole Main and Tie circuit breakers are preferred for space and cost considerations over 4-pole circuit breakers, an engineered ground fault scheme is required to ensure the correct breakers(s) trip on ground fault.
